The Recovered Plans That Fueled the Harry Colt Restoration at Bloomfield Hills Country Club

Inspired by Harry Colt’s original plans for the course, Bloomfield Hills Country Club in Detroit, MI recently debuted several upgrades to its layout. Players who experience a round at the reimagined course can expect four rebuilt greens, renovated bunkers, and a long par three and par four on the third and fourth holes. An enhanced and expanded practice range also offers players more space to tune up their skills before taking on the challenging, par 71 course. The restoration project was a joint effort between LaBar Golf Renovations and Mike DeVries and Frank Pont of Clayton, DeVries & Pont golf architectural firm who all helped bring Colt’s vision to life.
