Boca Woods Country Club in Boca Raton, FL, celebrated the grand reopening of its redesigned Woods golf course on December 8, following a $9 million transformation. More than 450 members, industry leaders, and government officials attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, where renowned golf architect Rees Jones was honored with a lifetime membership.
The 7,043-yard championship course, designed by Jones and built by LaBar Golf, balances strategic challenges for experienced golfers with improved playability for all skill levels. Key upgrades include redesigned greens for smoother putting, enhanced bunkering, advanced drainage for optimal conditions, and repositioned tee boxes to accommodate various players.
Jeff Gullett, Director of Golf, praised the course’s intricate design, while Jones highlighted its enhanced strategy and playability. Boca Woods, with its exclusive membership of 590 golfers, continues to invest in world-class amenities, including a modern clubhouse, sports and wellness complex, and future Top Tracer technology for the driving range.
Board President Howard Mittleman emphasized the club’s commitment to providing exceptional golfing experiences, while General Manager David Sweet, CCM, celebrated the club’s continued growth.
